Student´s name: Roch Castillo, Jessica

Title of the paper: The use of literature as political criticism to society in The lord of the Flies: depiction of elements.

Author or topic: William Golding

Abstract:

In this paper, as we can see in the introduction, we are presenting an analysis of the novel of William Golding, The Lord of the Flies, as a critical weapon to the society and the government of his time. Taking into account the historical background of the book, we have analysed the different allegories that the author represents using his characters. Thus, we separate his allusions to the society and his criticism to the government and also take into account the question of identity which is present in the novel as well as it was in Golding’s country after the Second World War. Is it in the conclusion, where all our impressions about the author’s intention and his novel are presented.
